Strieber -- Boylan is Government Propaganda Asset

Msgr. Corrado Balducci gave me permission to publish an interview he gave to the German UFO researcher Michael Hesemann for his magazine, UFO Magazin 2000, in my new book, Confirmation. This interview has been carefully translated and reviewed. It is exactly, to the word, what the Monsignor said.

There has been an attempt to discredit Msgr. Balducci by spreading a false rumor that he has said that there is a Vatican Commission on UFOs and that Papal Nuncios in various countries are transmitting UFO information to the Vatican. This has been followed with statements from another shadowy internet denizen to the effect that Msgr. Balducci doesn't have any opinion about UFOs at all.

Msgr. Balducci has stated his opinion to me, has recorded it on videotape, and has offered it on Italian television. A translation of his televised remarks will appear on this website soon.

Msgr. Balducci has never claimed anything about any papal commission on UFOs. His interview is a personal statement, not an official one. It is made by a man whom I know to be a fine priest and consider to be a holy man. He is not a theologian, but his comments certainly have a moral force that reflect his decency, humaninty and what I feel is a closeness to God that he is far too humble even to recognize.

I am not unfamiliar with this type of disinformation being circulated just prior to the publication of one of my books. Two weeks before the appearance of Breakthrough, Parade Magazine published a false story to the effect that I had "admitted" that I had Temporal Lobe Epilepsy. This lie was meant to discredit me. It was a piece of professionally devised disinformation, and I believe that the false controversy about Msgr. Balducci is exactly the same thing. The man who originated the false report, Richard Boylan, is notorious for publishing internet nonsense, but he had to have inside knowledge about my book in order to publish what he did, just as Parade needed help from somebody to time their publication of their lie at precisely the worst time for me.

I believe that Boylan has been exposed as a possible disinformation agent with this statement, because of this adroit timing.

I am very tired of this sort of disinformation, and wish to state that I believe that it may well have an official and therefore illegal locomotion. I think that it is propaganda being spread by some official source that is using "assets" like Parade and Boylan to do its dirty work, with or without their knowledge. Very dirty, in this case, to try to besmirch the reputation of a holy man like Msgr. Balducci.
