NASA has been monitoring the strange, coded signals at listening posts around the world since January and analysts are convinced they are coming from a point in space at least 6 billion light-years away.
That means the warning that is just now reaching us was broadcast 5.99 billion years before man even appeared on Earth.
The warning itself is simple - but grim. According to secret NASA transcripts, it flatly states: "The Kingdom is coming. Destruction of all things imminent. Prepare for the end."
As you might suspect, the Pentagon moved quickly to establish at least some jurisdiction in the "event," obtaining NASA transcripts and analyses for a briefing with President Bill Clinton on July 10.
The White House isn't talking, although sources privately confirm that the President "wiped tears from his eyes during the briefing" and remains "gravely concerned."
Bible scholar Dr. Roger Flaute, who blew the lid off the cover-up based on information obtained from a "highly placed Christian source," said: "This is, without a doubt, the single most important radio transmission in the history of the world.
"Make no mistake, NASA is monitoring a message from deepest space, and beyond believing in a merciful God who planned this from the beginning, there is no explanation for it.
"How did somebody who lived 6 billion years ago foresee Bible prophecy of the End Times so far in advance? How did they even know mankind would exist? And why did they care what happened to us, anyway?
"The only possible reason is that God planned it this way - that He foresaw our fascination with extraterrestrial life and knew that a message from deep space would impact us mightily.
"NASA isn't prepared to make such a statement, but my sources assure me that this radio transmission is shaking the agency to its foundations.
"Analysts could explain a simple radio transmission asking something like, 'Is anybody out there?' But their science isn't equipped to explain prophecy, because prophecy cannot be explained scientifically.
"It can only be explained by the leap of faith that all God-loving people make."
Dr. Flaute's report infuriated NASA spokesmen, one of whom called it "the most irresponsible leak of sensitive information in living memory."
The spokesmen didn't deny that NASA has been monitoring the transmission. Nor did he deny that the transcript was accurate.
He did say that experts "continue to analyze all information regarding radio transmissions from space. When, and if, such transmissions are deemed important enough for public consumption, we will make information available to anyone who wants it."
Dr. Jonathan Rader, the renowned astrophysicist, has seized on secrecy surrounding the transmission to lash out at NASA, calling suppression of information "immoral, unethical and, quite possibly, criminal."
"I have never considered myself to be a Christian in a conventional sense but even I can see the implications of this warning from space," he said.
"There really is a God. He is 'speaking' to us in a way we can understand.
"But how can we hear His message if NASA suppresses it? The answer, of course, is that we can't."
