"Those skinny little creeps held me down, gave me a shot of some kind to deaden the pain, then cut my leg off while I lay there screaming bloody murder," shattered Shawn said later.
"They said they wanted an Earthling's leg as a souvenir, so they took mine - and they did it just as casual as if they were pulling the leg off a bug."
The former Texan's heart-stopping ordeal began as he walked along a rural road near his home here four weeks ago.
As the easygoing gramps rounded a bend, he spotted a silver and black spaceship - and five evil-eyed space thugs with bony arms and scaly skin.
The aliens grabbed Shawn, 64, and hustled him onto the spaceship, where they strapped him to a table and calmly snipped off his leg with a device that reminded him of a miniature guillotine.
"The amazing thing was, it didn't really hurt like you'd think, and the bleeding stopped just like that," he recalled.
The oldster's horrified wife later found him hobbling down the road toward home and rushed him to a hospital.
"The people at the hospital kept me a couple of days and then told me I could go home because the wound had healed up faster than anything they'd ever seen before," heartsick Shawn said later.
"So now I just sit around stewing all day because I know those stupid space aliens are back home on Planet X, telling their buddies how they captured a ferocious Earthling -- and showing everybody my poor old leg in a jar."
