That's the conclusion of UFO expert Robert MacLaine, who quotes highly placed Washington insiders as saying that "extraterrestrials masquerading as human beings are siphoning off as much as 15 percent of the national welfare budget each and every year."
That means that space aliens are robbing us of more than $23 billion in food stamps, rent subsidies and medical costs annually.
"This is an outrage," said MacLaine, founder and president of the powerful and often controversial UFO research group Stop Extraterrestrials Today.
"If you know anything about the federal bureaucracy, you know anybody can pass himself off as being disadvantaged and cash in.
"And from what I've been able to ascertain, there are hundreds of thousands of aliens on the welfare rolls."
He quoted a highly placed State Department source as saying the federal welfare system "has been significantly abused by extraterrestrials who misrepresent themselves as being disadvantaged citizens."
Federal officials declined to confirm that a secret task force is investigating the "alien welfare connection."
"Until the government gets off its butt and does something about this fraud, it will continue - and there's not a damn thing that people like you and me can do about it," MacLaine said.
